A public health nurse is committed to the community. A public health nurse works within the community to improve the overall health of the area. They are focused on the big picture of community health. When our people are healthy our community is healthy. Public health nursing is multifaceted from immunizations to Communicable Disease surveillance-diagnose and investigate health problems and health hazards in the community. And in between they inform, educate, and empower people about health issues.
